Hello, My name is Heidi and I am a professional house and pet sitter in the Athens Ohio area. I have been working in this area for over 7 years now (please see local references). I am available for long term house sits only.....6- 12 months or longer. This is ideal for someone going away on sabbatical, or going away for an extended vacation or business trip. Leaving your house empty or boarding your loved one for extended periods of time is not very comforting or reassuring while you are away. Not only is boarding your pet cost prohibitive, but can also be extremely stressful for your pet as well as for you! When you contact me we will discuss your needs, your pets/plants needs and decide on an agreeable monthly fee or whether it is an even and mutual exchange. While you are away your heart can rest assured that I will be there to provide intimate care for your beloved plants, pets and home. A bit about me...I am 51 and without pets. I lead a quiet, contemplative lifestyle and enjoy spending time at home cooking, meditating, watching movies, as well as being creative. I don't drink, or smoke and am physically fit and love to walk, hike, paddle, and morning Pilates and stretching. I'd love to help care for a clean, clutter free (non-moldy, non-musty, non-moist) home and give your pet an abundance of loving attention. I have had a life full of animals as I was raised on a farm in NC, So, i am familiar with animal care and some of the difficulties and challenges that can arise without warning. I am comfortable with vet visits, providing medications and even providing end of life care and helping an animal transition should that be necessary. It feels like an honor to assist an animal at this stage in their life. I have had many furry soulmates and I offer your pets the same love and tenderness I have given my own.
